This test case is for validating whether an MME responds with a failure message when the eNB tries to reach it without supported Tracking Areas.

In this test case ABot simulated eNodeB sends S1 SETUP REQUEST message to MME, which is the SUT, without Supported Tracking Areas. After receiving S1 SETUP REQUEST message from the eNodeB without Supported TAs, the MME responds with an S1 SETUP FAILURE containing the appropriate cause value “Transfer Syntax Error”.

In this test case the S1 Set up After attach scenario was executed as per the 3GPP procedure S1 Set up.

This test case can be also used for stress testing by simulating multiple eNBs and UEs.
