5G_Authentication_Reject_AUTN_Sync_Failure

In this test case, ABot can simulate the gNodeB and UE and any other NFs of the 5G like AMF, AUSF, UDM, UDR, NSSF. The gNodeB and UE sends an Initial Registration Request message with a valid SUCI (IMSI) value. During UE Authentication UDM generates AUTN using SQN = S1 (where SEQ = x and IND = y).The gNodeB and UE receive a Registration Accept message. After Deregistration, the UE initiates a second registration procedure using the GUTI obtained from previous registration. For Authentication, UDM generates AUTN using SQN = S2 (where SEQ = x – 1 and IND = y). Now, UE sends Authentication Failure message.

The scenario executed in this test case is UE registration, deregistration then Reregistration with GUTI and Authentication Reject for AUTN_Sync_Failure.

The procedures completed in this test case are-

  • NG Setup
  • Initial Registration with successfully 5G-AKA authentication procedure.
  • Deregistration
  • Re-registration using GUTI
  • Authentication Failed for authentication parameter sync failure.

This test case is as per 3GPP Spec: TS 24.501, TS 33.501   Version: 15.7
